These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute an agreement between JD Document Forge LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a Virginia limited liability company, and you, the individual or entity purchasing or using the JD Document Forge software ("you" or "Licensee"). By using the software you represent that you have the authority to enter into this agreement.
Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use JD Document Forge on the number of computers corresponding to your purchased license tier:
All users under a firm license must be employees, partners, or contractors of the same legal practice. Licenses may not be shared across separate firms or organizations.
Free Trial. We offer a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, the software will prompt you to purchase a license to continue using it.
Subscription. Licenses are sold as annual or monthly subscriptions. Annual subscriptions are billed once per year. Monthly subscriptions are billed each calendar month. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars.
Auto-Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method on file. You will receive a reminder email before renewal. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time through your account at app.lemonsqueezy.com or by contacting us at support@jddocumentforge.com.
License Key Validation. The software performs a periodic license key validation check requiring a brief internet connection. If your subscription is active, the software operates normally. If your subscription has lapsed, you will receive a renewal prompt. A grace period of 14 days is provided after a failed renewal before access is restricted.
Price Changes. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days advance notice to active subscribers before any price increase takes effect.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your license remains active through the end of the current paid billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.
Refund Policy. If you are not satisfied with JD Document Forge, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase by contacting support@jddocumentforge.com. Refund requests after 30 days are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. Refunds are not available for renewal charges where the subscription was not cancelled prior to the renewal date.

All document templates, questionnaire data, client information, and generated documents you create or use within JD Document Forge remain your property. We have no access to, claim over, or interest in any of your content. You are solely responsible for the content of the documents you generate and for ensuring that your use of the software complies with all applicable professional responsibility rules, ethics obligations, and laws governing your practice.
The software is a tool to assist in document preparation. It does not constitute legal advice and does not review, verify, or validate the accuracy or legal sufficiency of any document you create.
JD Document Forge is designed for use by licensed legal professionals. You are solely responsible for supervising the use of the software in your practice, reviewing all generated documents for accuracy and legal sufficiency, and ensuring that your use of document automation complies with the professional conduct rules of your jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms or in the software constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship between you and JD Document Forge LLC.
Updates and Upgrades. As long as your subscription remains active and in good standing, you are entitled to all minor updates (bug fixes) and major version upgrades (new features) at no additional cost.
Support. We provide email support at support@docuforge.com. We will use reasonable efforts to respond to support inquiries within 2 business days. Support is provided in English and covers installation, configuration, and use of the software as documented in the User Manual. We do not provide legal advice or document drafting assistance as part of support.
JD DOCUMENT FORGE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the software will meet your specific requirements. You assume full responsibility for the selection and use of the software and for the accuracy and legal sufficiency of all documents generated.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JD DOCUMENT FORGE LLC, ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
JD Document Forge, including its software code, design, documentation, and all related materials, is the proprietary property of JD Document Forge LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The document templates included with the software are licensed to you for use within the software as part of your subscription. They may not be extracted and redistributed separately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at support@docuforge.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days of receiving written notice.
We may suspend or terminate your license immediately and without notice if you materially breach these Terms, including unauthorized distribution of the software or license keys. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and delete all copies in your possession. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as provided in Section 4.
You may terminate your subscription at any time as described in Section 4.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify active license holders by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the software after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JD Document Forge LLC with respect to the software and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, agreements, or representations. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
